Civil Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Meets all goals and objectives for project performance as related to project controls cost management, schedule, quality and project status by providing overall direction and leadership to the project team.
- Leverages expert understanding of project management fundamentals to manage all contractual obligations, project milestones, subcontract administration, costs and schedules for complete project cycle.
- Assists with project start-up activities, pre-commissioning or commissioning, and overall project closeout as required.
- Manages or supervises project document control and procedures (change orders, RFIs, shop drawings, etc.).
- Manage changes and extra work, organization and submittal/negotiation on EWO's, pricing changes/extras.
- Develops and maintains construction schedule; ensures overall schedule and work are completed on time.
- Oversees inventory and tracking of materials and equipment.
- Develops and maintains excellent working stakeholder relationships with the client, engineering design team, and field staff to plan, execute and problem solve.
- Communicates effectively with all stakeholders to ensure project scope, schedule and budget are clearly defined and understood.
- Provides leadership for safety and quality programs.
- Performs other duties as required.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Expert knowledge of construction methods, techniques, drawings, standards, specifications, health & safety, quality.
- Expert user of project control software applications, such as HeavyJob, MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Planning, organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Civil Project Coordinator
Department: Human Resources | $70,000/yr+
Key Responsibilities
- Assists with preparation and execution of overall work plan and schedule.
- Organizes and maintains project site files and documents; manages electronic document database and/or file sharing site.
- Maintains up-to-date, accurate documents for the project including drawings, plans, submittals, document logs, purchase orders, etc.
- Reviews subcontractors/supplier progress applications and payment certificates.
- Liaises with architects, consulting engineers, subcontractors and suppliers regarding contract and change notices, design revision, RFIs, RFQ, etc.
- Prepares and participates in meetings with project team, architects, consultants and subcontractors.
- Prepares and distributes accurate and detailed meeting minutes in a timely manner.
- Assist with providing final document turnover to client at completion of project.
- Coordinate deficiencies in a timely manner.
- Maintains project awareness in order to keep Project Manager and others informed about status and potential project issues.
- Provide other technical office support as required by project team.
- Supports the project controls and tracking system.
- Maintains project compliance to cost codes.
- Supports subcontract management and processing of invoices and progress claims.
- Responsible for change order implication and tracking.
- Expedites materials and equipment deliveries from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Assists Site Supervisor with manpower requirements.
- Responsible for progress claims.
- Supports the project quality control program.
